Christmas at Furtho
Christmas is a special period of the year wherever you go and that is no different at Furtho. Despite the difficulties which winter presents on the farm, the comfort of the Christmas feeling and the special opportunities which the festive period allows certainly make it worth it. Whilst we haven't had a white Christmas at Furtho in several years, the frosty ground in the mornings, bare trees and crisp weather creates a beautiful wintery picture throughout the farm. Every year at Furtho we host various festive events. These include the Carol Service in St Bartholomew's Church (which you can read all about in a previous blog post). The Carol Service invites people from the local villages, raising money from the Churches Conservation Trust, a charity which takes care of over 350 historical churches in Britain, including St Bartholomew's.
