Fabulous DIY Wedding

Image
The bride and bridesmaid's stayed in the Farmhouse the night before the wedding  I have had many creatives brides but I think this was the first and so far only bride who made her own wedding dress.  It was absolutely amazing and I loved the open back. Amelia & James got married on the gazebo at the lake here at Furtho.  With guests sat on the grass seats. I always love going to see the barn all set up on a Friday evening before a wedding.  For this wedding I was certainly blown away by all the amazing details.  Each table had a hoop of flowers over it was so effective. The Grooms Mum made the cake apparently have a few trials and making a delicious cake for the day.  I have great memories of this wedding with the sliding doors open and a packed dancefloor.  DJ Karlton had not played here before but we were very impressed.   I think this is the shortest supplier list I have ever written !! Winter Weddings

Robin & I got married on 6th January 2001. Little did I know when I planned my own wedding that in 2010 we would sell the cows off the farm and start letting out a barn for weddings. Lots of people dream of their wedding being on a lovely summer's day, but I felt like doing the opposite. My sister had a wonderful spring wedding in April 1999. On her big day the sun shone, the blossom was out and Furtho looked gorgeous. I did not want my wedding to be compared to hers, or anyone spending the day saying a "shame about the weather". So, when we got engaged in August 2000 I dreamt of a winter wedding. Our guests loved that the Christmas / New Year period had been extended into the following weekend. We got married in the Church here at Furtho with my father making the candelabra from recycled timber, and the whole Church was candlelit. In England you have to get married in daylight, so we were trying to organise it so that we would be going into Church in the light,
